This 9-story building at 151 West 28th Street in Chelsea between the Avenue of the Americas and Seventh Avenue was erected in 1922 and has 16 co-operative apartments. 

It was formerly a fur factory. 

It is not far from the Fashion Institute of Technology, numerous chic hotels, Rizzoli's and a Fairway supermarket. 

It is also very convenient to the 28th Street station of the IRT subway and is a few blocks south of Penn Station. 

It has retail on the first floor.

Bottom Line

A mid-block, mid-rise building with large  apartments in Chelsea very close to the Fashion Institute of Technology, good public transportation and some attractive and interesting hotels.

Description

The mid-block building permits window air-conditioners and has multi-paned windows and some brick walls. 

There are bandcourses above the third and eighth floors.
