This very handsome apartment building at 475 Clermont Avenue in the Fort Greene/Clinton Hill section of Brooklyn is a 12-story condominium that was developed in 2019 by RXR Realty, which is headed by Scott Rechler. 

It has 363 rental apartments and was designed by Aufgang Architects, whose projects in the city include 99 Morningside Avenue and 29-10 Broadway in Astoria. Interior design for this project was by Durukan Design. 

San Francisco-based artist Mona Caron was commissioned to paint a large mural for the building's courtyard that will only be visible by residents. Mr. Brainwash was commissioned to design a neon art work for the lobby. 

The 9-sided building, whose site was formerly a parking lot, is one block away from the C subway line.

Bottom Line

A 9-sided, masonry rental apartment building with many amenities in the Fort Greene/Clinton Hill section of Brooklyn with several setbacks and a large, open courtyard, one end of which is angled.

Description

This handsome mid-rise apartment building has a large, angled courtyard with a fire pit and some setbacks. Its main façades are red and its setback slabs are grey. 

Amenities

The building has a 24-hour concierge with a live-in resident manager, a 135-car garage, a pet spa, a landscaped courtyard with a fire pit, bicycle storage, tenant storage, a business center, a children's room with adjacent outdoor play area, a fitness center, a roof deck with grilling stations and a catering kitchen, and an outdoor movie screen.

Apartments

Apartments have farm sinks with pull-down faucets, milled kitchen cabinets with a blue-grey finish, stainless steel kitchen appliances, Caesarstone kitchen counters and islands and washers and dryers. 

Apartment 721 is a two-bedroom unit with a 20-foot-long angled living/dining room with an open kitchen and a long, angled terrace. 

Apartment 619 is a two-bedroom unit with an entry foyer that leads to a 22-foot-long, angled living/dining room with an open kitchen. 

Apartment 615 is a one-bedroom unit with a large square entry foyer that leads past an open kitchen with a breakfast bar to a 15-foot-long living room. 

Apartment 601 is a studio unit with an entry foyer that leads to a 15-foot-long living room with an angled alcove and an open kitchen with a breakfast bar.
