Carter's Review

This 7-story, red-brick, rental building at 301 Sullivan Place and 958 Nostrand Avenue is in the Crown Heights neighborhood in Brooklyn.

It is known as The Plex and was erected in 2011 and has 98 apartments.

It was built by the Nostrand Group LLC and designed by Karl Fischer Architects. Hadas Metzler did the interiors.

Bottom Line

Across the street from an Associated Supermarket, this building has many amenities including an ATM, vending machines, a garage, a dog run, a roof deck, a doorman and a concierge.

Description

The building has some balconies and some corner windows. Its large size is modulated with setbacks.

Amenities

The building has an attended lobby with an ATM, vending machines, a doorman, a concierge, a gym, a live-in superintendent, a garage, a toddler’s playground, a dog run, a residents’ lounge with a billiards table, a screening room, a package room, a deck, cold storage and it allows pets.

Apartments

Apartments have high ceilings with built-in surround-sound speakers and recessed and track lighting.

Kitchens have Caesarstone countertops, under-cabinet light, stainless-steel appliances and Bosch dishwashers.

Bathrooms have Toto waterclosets.

Apartment A on the 2 through the 5th floors is a three-bedroom unit with a 13-foot-long living room with an open kitchen.

There is a two-bedroom apartment on the 2nd through the 5th floors has an entry foyer that opens into a 15-foot-long living/dining room with a15-foot-wide open kitchen with a large terrace on the second floor and a small balcony in the other units.

Apartment F on floors 2 through 5 is a two-bedroom unit with a 12-foot-long living/dining room with an 8-foot-wide open kitchen with an island and a 9-foot-square home office.  The units on the 3 through the 5th floor have a small balcony off the living room.

Apartment 4S is a one-bedroom unit with an entry foyer by the 8-foot-long pass-through kitchen, an 18-foot-long living/dining room.  This unit has also has a balcony on the 7th floor and a large terrace on the 6th floor.

The two-bedroom unit on the 2 through the 5th floor has a 20-foot-long living/dining room with an 8-foot-square open kitchen with an island.

Apartment H on floors 6 and 7 is a two-bedroom unit with an angled living/dining room with an open, 13-foot-wide kitchen and a small balcony on the 7th floor.

Apartment E on the 6th and 7th floors is a two-bedroom unit with a 18-foot-long living/dining room and a pass-through 9-foot-long kitchen and a large terrace on the 6th floor.
