This handsome, 21-story, rental apartment building at 415 Red Hook Lane between Fulton Street and Boerum Place in Brooklyn is known as The Lane at Boerum Place.  It was erected by Quinlan Development Group and Lonicera Partners in 2017 and it has 108 units. 

It was designed by Ennead Architects. 

Within a five-minute walk to eight major subway lines and steps from endless dining, entertainment and retail amenities, The Lane gives urban living the ambiance of small town convenience. 

At the edge of Brooklyn Heights and nearby Boerum Hill, The Lane provides an ideal residential setting amid Brooklyn’s cultural and historic districts. Residents enjoy proximity to the indie boutiques and classic architecture of it historic neighborhoods, as well as the diverse restaurants and energetic vibe of Downtown Brooklyn. 

According to a August 1, 2016 article at cityrealty.com, "the tower's Red Hook Lane site previously hosted four pre-war walk-ups, which were demolished starting in April of 2015."  The article noted that Forgotten New York, the blog, provided a brief history of the truncated alley" and wrote that "Red Hook Lane started as a nameless native American trail that colonists found convenient enough to expand." 

Its triangular site is very close to Borough Hall and not far from Brooklyn Heights. 

Its roof deck affords spectacular vistas of Manhattan, Downtown Brooklyn and Governors Island.

Bottom Line

A handsome, well-located rental tower on a triangular plot near Borough Hall in Brooklyn with many amenities and a very attractive south-facing glass façade and a beige-brick west façade.

Description

With its elegant south glass façade that wraps a bit around its Boerum Place corner where it meets a beige-brick west façade, this is building snaps to attention. 

The building has a two-story high retail base and its façade setback once.
