Carter's Review

Marketing began in July, 2007 for The Bridges NYC, an attractive, residential condominium project that consists of a seven story building at 2279 Third Avenue on the southeast corner at 124th Street and a seven-story building at 2283 Third Avenue on the northeast corner at 124th Street.

Both buildings have been designed by Alexander Compagno & Associates for partnerships of which Mike Waldman is a member.

The building at 2283 has 18 apartments and a 24-hour doorman and the building at 2279 has 14 apartments and a "virtual" doorman.

The buildings have two-story, rusticated, light-colored stone bases and pale orange masonry façades with setbacks.

The buildings are convenient to subways and the Metro North station at 125th Street and Park Avenue.

Mariano Puente is the project s interior designer.

Kitchens have granite countertops, stainless steel appliances and smoked glass and polished aluminum cabinetry.

There are flat-screen televisions in the master bathrooms and baths have Jerusalem Bone limestone vanity countertops.

Apartments have Asko washers and dryers.

A one-bedroom, one-bath apartment with 745 square feet was priced initially at about $449,000. A two-bedroom, two-bath unit with 1,305 square feet was priced at about $695,000. A three-bedroom, two-bath apartment with 1,700 square feet was priced at $905,000.
