Carter Horsley
Review of 75 First Avenue by Carter Horsley

This attractive, mid-block, mid-rise, 8-story apartment building at 75 First Avenue between 4th and 5th streets on the East Village has 22 condominium apartments.

It was erected in 2017 by the Colonnade Group, which bought out its previous partners, Ozymandius Realty and Orange Management, in 2015 for $12.9 million.

It was designed by Stefano Pasqualetti and Thomas O’Hara.

The building is substantially cantilevered over an adjoining one-story retail building and it has lot line windows through a zoning lot merger.

A previous design for the site by HTO Architect called for a 14-story building with 27 years.

Stefano Farsura did the interiors.
