Review of 425 Park Avenue South by Carter Horsley

This handsome, 20-story apartment building at 425 Park Avenue South was erected in 1927 and converted to cooperative apartments in 1980.

The building, which is also known as the Park South Tower and 101 East 29th Street, has 74 apartments.

The apartments have high, beamed ceilings and the building has a full-time doorman, a live-in superintendent, a landscaped roof deck, shared storage and laundry facilities on every floor, and is pet friendly.

The brown brick building has some setbacks and protruding air-conditioners.

There is very good public transportation and the neighborhood has numerous restaurants and in 2011 the Gansevoort Park Hotel opened up nearby.
