15 Charles Street: Review and Ratings

between Greenwich Avenue & Waverly Place View Full Building Profile

Carter Horsley
Review of 15 Charles Street by Carter Horsley

This 18-story apartment building overlooking a small traffic island between Seventh Avenue and West Fourth Street is centrally located in Greenwich Village a few blocks north of Sheridan Square. As one of the taller buildings in this historic district, it has many excellent views. The doorman building, which has 122 apartments, was erected in 1964 and converted to a condominium in 1989. There are some corner windows and terraces in this pleasant-looking building. Within a few blocks are some of the most famous restaurants, boutiques and food stores in Greenwich Village. It is close also to PS 41, one of the city's best public schools, St. Vincent's Hospital and an express subway station a couple of blocks to the north.
