This attractive, red-brick, mid-block building is on one of the nicest blocks in Greenwich Village.

The eastern end of the block is anchored by the very beautiful Presbyterian Church and its gardens and 40 Fifth Avenue, the most elegant apartment building in Greenwich Village, and the western end is anchored by a small triangular cemetery and the New School for Social Research.

The 9-story building has 48 co-operative apartments and was erected in 1923.

Bottom Line

A very central and prime Greenwich Village location that is close to Lower Fifth Avenue and not far from Washington Square Park.

Description

The building has a two-story terracotta entrance surround and a canopied entrance with sidewalk landscaping. There is a bandcourse above the second floor and a stringcourse above the 8th floor. The building has a symmetric roofline that rises gently in the middle of the building. The building has some Juliet balconies and protruding air-conditioners.

Amenities

The building has a doorman, a live-in superintendent and a laundry.

It has no roof deck, no fitness center and no garage.
