Review of 25 Fifth Avenue by Carter Horsley

This handsome, brown-brick, pre-war apartment building has a prime Greenwich Village location at 25 Fifth Avenue on the northeast corner at 9th Street.

The 14-story building at 25 Fifth Avenue is two blocks north of Washington Square Park and one block south of the Episcopal Church of the Ascension in the most desirable and lovely section of Lower Fifth Avenue, one of the city's most distinguished and elegant residential neighborhoods.

The building was converted to a condominium in 2000 and was acquired by Aby Rosen and partners in 2005 for $46.3 million. It has 87 apartments.

The building has wood-burning fireplaces, high ceilings, a 24-hour concierge and William T. Georgis designed a remodeling of the lobby.

It has a fitness center, a laundry facility, a bicycle room, and storage spaces. It also has windowed kitchens with Miele, Liebherr and GE Profile stainless steel appliances. It also has windowed baths with Kohler fixtures.
