This attractive, 12-story building at 2296 Frederick Douglass Boulevard was erected in 2010 and contains 44 condominium apartments over a 124-room, Starwood Aloft Hotel.

The building was erected by RCG Longview is the developer and the project was designed by H. Thomas O’Hara Architect PLLC.

It is also known as 2300 Frederick Douglass Boulevard and 260-270 West 124th Street.

Bottom Line

A red-brick apartment building with cornices sits atop a boutique Starwood Aloft Hotel with a glass façade and a dramatic entrance one block away from 125th Street.

Description

The hotel is contained in the lower 6 floors of the building and much of its façade is glass while the condominium section of the building is red brick.  The residential section of the building has nice cornices.

The hotel has a dramatic, 8-story, mid-block, entrance surround.

Amenities

The building has a doorman, a gym, a bicycle room, a garage and a roof deck.  A September 17, 2010 article in The New York Times by Marc Santora said that because the hotel has no restaurant there is no room service for the condo owners.

Apartments

Apartments have Bosch washers and dryers, Caesarstone countertops and Kitchen Aid appliances and marble bathroom countertops and Toto toilets.

Apartment 10C is a three-bedroom unit with an entry foyer that leads to a 20-foot-wide corner living/dining room with an open kitchen with an island.  The master bedroom has a terrace.

Apartment 10B is a two-bedroom unit with an entry foyer that leads to a 19-foot-long living/dining area with an open kitchen and a free-standing column close to the entrance to a 41-foot-wide terrace.

Apartment 9B is a two-bedroom unit with a 20-foot-long living/dining area with an open kitchen and an island and a 37-foot-long terrace that is also accessed from the master suite.

Apartment 12C is a two-bedroom unit that has an entry foyer that leads to a 21-foot-wide living/dining area with an open kitchen with an island.

Apartment 11C is a one-bedroom unit with a 16-foot-long living/dining area with an open kitchen with an island.
