Carter Horsley's Building Review Carter Horsley
Oct 25, 2013

Carter's Review

This handsome, 11-story, red-brick apartment house was erected in 1927 and was converted to a cooperative in 1979. He has about 40 apartments.

It is located in one of the nicest sections of the Upper East Side with elegant side-streets and is convenient to many popular restaurants, shops and clubs. It is across Lexington Avenue from a block-front of low-rise buildings.

The building has arched windows on its first floor, a canopied entrance with doorman and a roof deck. It permits protruding air-conditioners and has no garage, no sidewalk landscaping, no balconies and no health club.

There is good cross-town bus service on 72nd and 67th Streets and there is a subway station at 67th Street and Lexington Avenue. There is excellent neighborhood shopping.
