164 East 72nd Street: Review and Ratings
between Park Avenue & Lexington Avenue View Full Building Profile
This fine red-brick, 15-story building was erected as a cooperative in 1924 and has 47 apartments.
The building has a two-story limestone base with an attractive entrance and limestone detailing on the third floor. It has a concierge and a handsome lobby with marble floors and the building, which has four stringcourses, has sidewalk landscaping and permits protruding air-conditioners.
It is convenient to some cultural institutions and many world-famous boutiques along Madison Avenue as well as many restaurants and neighborhood shopping along Lexington and Third Avenues. Although the nearest subway station is several blocks away, there is good bus service on this major cross-town street.
