241 East 76th Street: Review and Ratings

between Third Avenue & Second Avenue View Full Building Profile

Carter Horsley
Review of 241 East 76th Street by Carter Horsley

This attractive, 10-story building was erected in 1959 and converted to a cooperative in 1985. It has 92 units.

The red-brick building has a canopied, three-step-down entrance with a two-step-up vestibule. It has a doorman, a garage, a health club and sidewalk landscaping and protruding air-conditioners.

It has a good central Upper East Side location that is convenient to many cultural and religious institutions, restaurants and boutiques. It is not far from Lenox Hill Hospital and a local subway station at 77th Street and Lexington Avenue and there is good cross-town bus service on 79th Street.
