Review of 315 East 68th Street by Carter Horsley

One of the more charming large sidestreet buildings on the Upper East Side, this 289-unit building is convenient to transportation and fine shopping. This attractive 17-story apartment building was erected in 1931 and converted to a cooperative in 1981. The central section of the brown brick 289-unit building is recessed deeply from the building line to provide an elegant, landscaped entrance. Its pre-war construction is solid and nicely detailed with attractive apartment layouts and a pleasant lobby. The building has a concierge and doorman and a roof garden.
