Carter Horsley
Review of 315 East 77th Street by Carter Horsley

This pleasant, red-brick, 6-story building was erected in 1928 and converted to a cooperative in 1985. It has 60 units.

The mid-block building has a canopied entrance and a one-step-up entrance and sidewalk landscaping. It has a nice roofline with some terracotta detailing and protruding air-conditioners. It has no doorman, no garage, no health club and no balconies.

It has a good central Upper East Side location that is convenient to many cultural and religious institutions, restaurants and boutiques. It is not too far from Lenox Hill Hospital and a local subway station at 77th Street and Lexington Avenue and there is good cross-town bus service on 79th Street.
