Review of 230 East 79th Street by Carter Horsley

This attractive, 20-story, white-brick apartment house was erected in 1963 and converted to a cooperative in 1994.

It has 104 apartments.

The mid-block building has a handsome, one-story polished black granite base and sidewalk landscaping. The doorman building has a canopied entrance, discrete air-conditioners and angled bay windows at it stop. It has no garage and no health club.

This area of the Upper East Side has with many restaurants and good neighborhood shopping nearby. There are also numerous schools and religious institutions in the vicinity. There is good cross-town bus service on 79th Street and a subway station is not too far away at Lexington Avenue and 77th Street.
