Carter Horsley's Building Review Carter Horsley
Dec 23, 2011
55 CITYREALTY RATING
  • #47 in Lenox Hill

Carter's Review

This very attractive, gray-brick, 16-story building was erected in 1959 and converted to a cooperative in 1983. It has 96 apartments.

The building has a one-story polished gray granite base with a nice, bright lobby, a doorman, a garage, some bay windows, protruding air-conditioners, sidewalk landscaping and some terraces. It has no health club and no roof deck.

It is across the avenue from Lenox Hill Hospital and there is a subway entrance in front of the building so there is considerable traffic and noise in this lively area. There is very good local shopping and this area is convenient to many schools and religious institutions. There is good cross-town bus service on 79th Street and there are many restaurants in the area as well as food stores.
