This very handsome, 11-story building was erected in 2015 by the Gershon Company at 22-22 Jackson Avenue in Long Island City.

  It has 175 rental apartments and was designed by ODA Architects.

Bottom Line

A strongly sculpted mid-rise building with an exposed concrete façade that is the city's best reincarnation of Brutalist architecture, a short-lived and much underappreciated style.

Description

The cast concrete building has an exposed concrete façade with an irregular pattern of recessions that give the building a push-pull aesthetic that is very strong and interesting.

  It  has a two-story lobby and a landscaped courtyard.

This building has a doorman, a roof deck, a gym with a swimming pool, parking, a bicycle room and storage.

Apartments

Apartment 502 is a three-bedroom unit with a living room with an open kitchen and a terrace.

  Apartment 308 is a one-bedroom unit with a living room with an open kitchen and a very large terrace.   Apartment 416 is a one-bedroom unit with a living room with an open kitchen and large terrace.
