The beige, 13-story apartment tower at 138 East Broadway is one of the tallest buildings in Chinatown and was completed in 2011. 

It was developed by Kai Min Chen and Peter F. Poon was the architect. 

The building, which is also known as 125 Division Street, is between Pike and Essex Streets. 

It is also known as the Hua Ming Building. 

It has 23 condominium apartments.

Bottom Line

Many of the apartments have dramatic vistas of the Lower Manhattan skyline, the East River bridges and the Brooklyn waterfront.

Description

The building is quite distinctive with stainless steel balconies and tall windows on the second and third floors and marquees at the first floor. The 10th through the 13th floors have large curved stainless steel-clad balconies and the top floor also has a simple, curved, stainless steel pergola. 

The building has discrete air-conditioners and an exposed rooftop watertank.

Amenities

The building has a video security system and keyed elevator access. The building has no sidewalk landscaping, no roof deck and no garage. 

It is around the corner from Bacaro, one of the most attractive cellar restaurants in the city.

Apartments

Apartments have oak flooring, washers and dryers and kitchens have stainless steel appliances and granite countertops. 

Apartment A on the 10th through the 12th floors is a one-bedroom unit with an enclosed kitchen, a 15-foot-long living room and a large curved balcony facing south. 

Apartment B on the 10th through the 12th floors is a one-bedroom unit with a 4-foot-long foyer than opens into a 16-foot-long living room and a 9-foot-long kitchen.  It has a 62-square-footbalcony facing north. 

Apartment A on the 5th through the 8th floors has a large entry foyer next to a small balcony and a 30-foot-long balcony with its own small balcony.  The unit has two bedrooms and one bath.
