New Developments are popping up all over Southern Brooklyn these days and Flatbush is certainly no exception. The neighborhood is quickly becoming the borough's next go-to destination and affordability will likely be out of the question in a few years time. One of the latest newcomers is 1084 Rogers Avenue, a seven-story, 24-unit rental currently in construction. The structure is located between Cortelyou and Clarendon Roads and will be the tallest in the area, mostly replete with three-story buildings.
Developer Empire State Management paid about $1.75M for the site in 2015 and filed permits to erect the building and demolish the former one-story warehouse the same year. The Manhattan-based design firm Input Creative Studio is responsible for the facade's Victorian-style elegance as well as the building's interiors.

According to permits, there will be commercial space on the first floor and a healthcare facility on the second. Residences will start on the third floor and occupy 17,879 square feet, making the average apartment size just 744 square feet. Permits also call for 12 parking spaces, bike parking, common roof terraces on the second and seventh floors, and private terraces for apartments on floors 5-7.
1084 Rogers Avenue will be a short walk from the Beverly Road 2/5 subway stop.
