Senate East, 335 East 51st Street: Review and Ratings

between Second Avenue & First Avenue View Full Building Profile

Carter Horsley
Review of 335 East 51st Street by Carter Horsley

This attractive, 14-story, pink-brick, mid-block, cooperative apartment building was erected in 1963 and has 97 apartments.

The building has a polished green marble entrance surround, a doorman, some terraces, spiked sidewalk landscaping planters, discrete air-conditioners. It has a two-step-down, canopied entrance with glass doors, and no garage and no health club and no roof deck.

It is in the Beekman Place-Sutton Place area that has numerous restaurants and good neighborhood shopping. There is cross-town bus service on 49th and 50th Streets, but subways are several blocks away as are several small parks.
