This large, 56-story, glass rental apartment tower at 555 Tenth Avenue at 41st Street was erected by Extell Development in 2016. 

It has 600 apartments including 120 “affordable units.” 

It was designed by SLCE and McGinley Design Interiors. 

It is just to the east of the Church of Saints Cyril & Methodius from which it acquired 140,000 square feet of air rights in 2012 for $16.5 million.

Bottom Line

Extell’s latest huge addition to Midtown West is a 56-story glass tower with many small apartments and large amenities including two swimming pools and a pet spa.

Description

The building has a double-height lobby.

 Apartments begin 150 feet high. 

The tower is indented for one floor with exposed rounded columns above the 8-story base. 

Amenities

The building has a 24-hour doorman and concierge, a bowling alley, a children’s playroom, roof deck with a large, open swimming pool and an indoor/outdoor fireplace and cabanas, a fitness center with an indoor salt-water pool, Peleton bikes and Nexersys Boxing Exergame, a Throw Me A Bone pet facility, an outdoor dog park protected from the elements, an a bike service station and storage.

Apartments

Apartments have Bosch washers and dryers.  

Residents can chose dark or light interior finishes. 

Kitchens have stainless steel appliances, Fisher Paykel refrigerators with filtered water dispensers, and breakfast-bar-ready quartz stone countertops. 

Apartment E on floors 14 through 55 is a two-bedroom unit with an entry foyer that leads to a 19-foot-long living room and a windowed, pass-through kitchen. 

Apartment D on floors 13 through 31 is a one-bedroom unit with a 19-foot-long living room and a pass-through kitchen. 

Apartment M on floors 14 through 31 is a studio unit with a 17-foot-long living room and a pass-through kitchen.
