Carter Horsley's Building Review Carter Horsley
Dec 23, 2011

Carter's Review

This is one several beige-brick buildings apartment buildings designed by Emery Roth on Park Avenue in Murray Hill.

It is owned by Rudin Management, one of the city's major developers.

It has a highly articulated façade punctuated by five balconies on most floors and several setbacks near the top.

It is on the northwest corner at 36th Street and is convenient to the Morgan Library, the Union League Club, and Grand Central Terminal.

There is excellent public transportation in this area, which is also close to the Flatiron District and Madison Square Park.

The 19-story building was erected in 1940 and has a doorman and a canopied entrance and about 150 rental apartments.
