Carter's Review
This very nice, 15-story building was erected in 1910 and converted to a cooperative in 1946. It has only 27 apartments.
The building has a three-story limestone base and a canopied, arched entrance. The doors to the building's entrance and professional suites are very handsome, wrought-iron portals. The building has sidewalk landscaping, a doorman and a step-down lobby.
Each apartment has a maid's room, a storage room and a fireplace.
The building has a roof terrace.
It has inconsistent fenestration, protruding air-conditioners, no garage and no balconies.
The building has a fine, central and very elegant Upper East Side location that is very close to the Frick Collection and the Whitney Museum of American Art and many world-famous boutiques along Madison Avenue and major art galleries in the vicinity.
Although the nearest subway station is several blocks away, there is good bus service on this major cross-town street.
