This very handsome and elegant, 12-story, rental apartment building at 562 West End Avenue between 87th and 88th Streets was erected in 1913 and designed by Walter Hafeli, who also designed 404-412 Park Avenue South.  The building is owned by 562 Realty Co. L.P.

It has 84 apartments.

The site is convenient to good public transportation and there is good retail one block away on Broadway.

The brown-brick building has a two-story, limestone base with a very handsome, 1-story entrance surround with four Doric columns beneath a decorative entablature.

It has a canopied entrance and sidewalk landscaping.

The top floor has a decorative limestone façade beneath an attractive cornice and its side window ways are nicely rusticated.
