This 13-story apartment building at 250 West 103rd Street between Broadway and West End Avenue was  erected in 1917 as the Alexandria Hotel and was converted to a co-operative in 1983.

It has 78 apartments.


 

Bottom Line

A pleasant pre-war building close to Broadway and Riverside Park, this building has a 24-hour doorman and a roof deck.


 

Description

This red-brick building has a three-story limestone base with a protruding arch entrance surround around its metal marquee and a pair of arched windows on the second floor.

The fourth-floor has a large, arched masonry surround around pairs of rectilinear windows with masonry arches.

The building has some protruding and discrete window air-conditioners and sidewalk landscaping.

It is missing its cornice.

The building has a 24-hour doorman, a live-in superintendent, a roof deck, and a bicycle room.  It permits pets.


 

Apartments

Apartment 2C is a three-bedroom unit with a wide-entry hall that leads to a 16-foot-long living room that opens onto a 23-foot-wide terrace, an 8-foot-wide dining alcove and a 7-foot-long kitchen.  The middle bedroom has an angled window.

Apartment 5C is a three-bedroom unit with an entry foyer that leads to a 14-foot-wide living room with an 8-foot-square dining room next to a 7-foot-square kitchen. The middle bedroom has an angled window.

Apartment 2A is a two-bedroom unit with a long entry foyer that leads to a 18-foot-long living room with an 8-foot-long dining area next to an 8-foot-wide enclosed kitchen.  The smaller bedroom has an angled window.

Apartment 5E is a one-bedroom unit with an entry into an 8-foot-long dining area with an angled wall that leads to a 14-foot-long living room.

Apartment 9F is a one-bedroom unit with a 15-foot-wide living room adjacent to a 9-foot-long kitchen.
