Review of 235 West End Avenue by Carter Horsley

This handsome, yellow-brick, 17-story, apartment building was erected in 1928. It was converted to a condominium in 1987 and has 184 apartments.

The building has a one-step-up canopied entrance with a two-story entrance surround, a nice lobby, a doorman, sidewalk landscaping and arched windows with columns on the second floor.

It has a roof garden and a gym.

It permits protruding air-conditioners and has no garage.

It is close to Riverside Drive and convenient to the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts. There is an abundance of neighborhood shopping on 72nd Street and an express subway station on Broadway t 72nd Street.
