This 21-story building at 50 Murray Street in TriBeCa was designed by Robert L. Bien as an office building in 1964 and converted to rental apartments by the World-Wide Group in 1999.

It has 389 apartments.

Meltzer/Mandl was the architect for the conversion.

Jay Valgora of Studio V Architecture designed the lobby with a light sculpture.

The building was originally known as 110 Church Street and is also known as 33 Park Place.

Bottom Line

Close to City Hall and Ground Zero, this building has many small rental apartments and a very attractive and modern lobby.

Description

The building has a few setbacks and is noted for its red metal façade panels beneath its windows.

Amenities

The building has a concierge, a doorman, a live-in superintendents, valet service, a garage, a media room, a game room, a children's playroom, a fitness center, a basketball half-court, a very handsome and large landscaped roof terrace, a bamboo garden and laundries on each floor.  There is an Equinox Fitness Center on the second floor and a Starbucks on the ground floor.

Apartments

Apartments have 11-foot-high, beamed ceilings, stainless-steel kitchen appliances, black granite kitchen countertops and two-tone tile bathroom floors.

Apartment 18 is a three-bedroom unit with a 23-foot-long living room with a pass-through kitchen.

Apartment 1618 is a two-bedroom unit with a 21-foot-long living room with a 30-foot-east terrace and a 34-foot-south terrace.

Apartment 12 is a two-bedroom unit with a 23-foot-long living room.

Another two-bedroom unit has a 22-foot-long living room and a 16-foot-long home office.
