Review of 325 East 79th Street by Carter Horsley

This handsome, 17-story, mid-block apartment building was erected in 1928 and converted to a cooperative in 1980. It has 81 apartments.

The next-to the-top floor of this beige-brick building has arched windows as does the second floor above the canopied entrance, which has a limestone surround and attractive lanterns. The doorman building permits protruding air-conditioners and has sidewalk landscaping.

It is adjacent to an attractive French restaurant, Quatorze and this neighborhood has several other nice restaurants and good neighborhood shopping. There is good cross-town bus service on 79h Street, but the closest subway station is at Lexington Avenue and 77th Street.
