325 East 80th Street: Review and Ratings

between Second Avenue & First Avenue View Full Building Profile

Carter Horsley
Review of 325 East 80th Street by Carter Horsley

This attractive, 6-story, mid-block apartment building was erected in 1940 and is a cooperative with 50 apartments.

This beige-brick building has an attractive, canopied entrance with an arched masonry entrance surround with nice brass and glass entrance doors, sidewalk landscaping, protruding air-conditioners and consistent fenestration. It has fire-escapes and no doorman, no garage, and no health club.

There is excellent local shopping and good cross-town bus service on 79th Street. Lenox Hill hospital is three blocks to the south on Lexington Avenue where there is also a subway station. Some of the city's finest mansions are across the avenue on 80th Street.
