This attractive, 30-story apartment tower at 345 East 94th Street in Yorkville was erected in 1999 by Fetner Properties.

It has 208 rental units and was designed by Costas Kondylis. 

The building was originally known as The Chesapeake and has ground-floor retail space.

Bottom Line

A typical Yorkville apartment tower with some interesting layouts, good amenities and many corner windows.

Description

This light-orange brick tower has a 6-story full base and two-story angled setback at the base of the tower.

The tower is modulated with two angled vertical indentations and they and the corners create many corner windows.

The building’s double-height lobby has a canopy entrance.

Amenities

The building has a roof deck with barbecue, a doorman and a live-in superintendent, a fitness center, a residents’ lounge, a garage, a 24-hour attended lobby, sidewalk landscaping and it is pet friendly.

Apartments

Penthouse A&B is a four-bedroom duplex with a 9-foot-square entry foyer that leads to a 14-foot-long media room with a corner window next to an 18-foot-long living/dining room with a corner window adjacent to a 12-foot-long dining room with a corner window and an open kitchen with a breakfast bar.  The lower level also has an 11-foot-long den and a staircase to the upper level that has two bedrooms and three large terraces.

Apartment 19A is a two-bedroom unit with a 9-foot-wide entry foyer that leads to a 17-foot-long living room with a corner window adjoin a 13-foot-wide dining area with two corner windows and a pass-through kitchen.  One bedroom has a bay window and the other a corner window.

Apartment 8E is a one-bedroom unit with an angled entry foyer that opens into a 29-foot-long living room with a corner bay window and an enclosed kitchen next to an 11-foot-wide dining area with a corner bay window.

Apartment 20C is a one-bedroom unit with an entry foyer next to a pass-through kitchen facing the 11-foot-wide dining area adjacent to the 20-foot-long living room with a corner window.  The 16-foot-long bedroom also has a corner window.

Apartment 7E is a one-bedroom unit with an angled, 11-foot-wide entry foyer across from an enclosed kitchen and a 21-foot-long living room with a corner bay windows and an 11-foot-wide dining area.

Apartment 8F is a studio unit with a long entry foyer that leads past a pass-through kitchen to a 15-foot-long living area with a corner bay window.

Apartment 5F is a studio unit with an entry foyer next to an open kitchen with a breakfast bar and a 22-foot-long living area.
