between York Avenue & East End Avenue View Full Building Profile

Carter Horsley
Review of 515 East 88th Street by Carter Horsley

This attractive, red-brick, 5-story building was erected in 1920 and converted to a cooperative in 1981. It has 69 apartments.

The mid-block building has a one-story gray marble base, a doorman, discrete air-conditioners, consistent fenestration and sidewalk landscaping. It has no garage and no health club. It is very close to Carl Schurz Park and is on a pleasant street.

There is good cross-town bus service on 86th Street and a subway station at 86th Street and Lexington Avenue.
