Carter Horsley's Building Review Carter Horsley
Dec 23, 2011

Carter's Review

This handsome, red-brick, 20-story building is a cooperative with 159 apartments.

The building overlooks the East River and has a canopied entrance with a doorman and a concierge, a garage, attractive balconies, impressive, protected views, protruding air-conditioners, sidewalk landscaping, attractive balconies, and consistent fenestration. It has no health club and no roof deck.

It is close to Carl Schurz Park and the East River, several private schools and a south-bound entrance to the FDR Drive at 79th Street. There is good cross-town bus service on 79th Street, but the building is not close to the subways.
