between York Avenue & East End Avenue View Full Building Profile

Review of 510 East 80th Street by Carter Horsley

This handsome, red-brick, mid-block, condominium apartment building was erected in 1985. The 15-story building has 92 units.

The building is distinguished by a very large and impressive, black polished granite marquee and many black-glass balconies.

It has a doorman, a handsome, large, windowed lobby, a roof deck, a garage, discrete air-conditioners, sidewalk landscaping, consistent fenestration and a revolving door entrance. It has no health club and is located on a quiet street. There is good cross-town bus service nearby on 79th Street, but subways are not close.

A south-bound entrance to the FDR Drive is three blocks south at 79th Street and there is good cross-town bus service at 79th Street and First Avenue. A foot-bridge to the East River promenade is at 80th Street and two of the city's best private schools for girls and the Carl Schurz park and Gracie Mansion are a few blocks to the north.
