Carter's Review

This 18-story apartment tower was erected in 1964 and converted to a cooperative in 1985. It has 115 units.

The red-brick building has a one-story white-brick base, and an entrance marquee and canopy with sidewalk landscaping. There is a white-marble entrance surround.

The building has a concierge and consistent fenestration. St. Elizabeth's Roman Catholic Church is down the block. The building has a roof deck and some terraces.

There is good local shopping in the vicinity and there is express subway station at Lexington Avenue and 86th Street on which there is very good cross-town bus service. There is considerable traffic on Third Avenue.

One United Nations Park is an unprecedented interplay of privacy and light—a balance that reflects the architecture’s bold exterior and luminous interiors.
