It was built by Glenwood Management, a major developer in this neighborhood.

The free-standing building has a two-story polished pink granite base, a six-step-up entrance, lush sidewalk landscaping, a doorman, a concierge, a garage, consistent fenestration, a health club and a roof deck. It has an entrance marquee.

The building is close to Carl Schurz Park, the Asphalt Green recreation center and The East River.

There is excellent cross-town bus service on 86th Street and a subway station at Broadway and 86th Street.

The building is known as the Caldwell and is located at 1520 York Avenue and is also known as 499 East 80th Street.
