The Regency CLOSE
This building has a one-step-up entrance, a canopied entrance with concierge, a garage, and sidewalk planters topped with spiked railings. It also has Gourmet Garage, an excellent food store, as a retail tenant on the sidestreet and balconies on its avenue frontage.
This is a very dense and active area of the Upper East Side with heavy traffic heading south on Second Avenue to the Queensborough Bridge at 59th Street. With the rebuilding of Third Avenue with many luxury apartment towers, however, the area has gained in popularity and has many neighborhood services, including movie theaters, and a lively ambiance. There is good cross-town bus service on 67th Street. A subway is at Lexington Avenue and 67th Street.
