This 15-story apartment house at 173 West 78th Street on the northwest corner of Amsterdam Avenue was built in 1929 and has 89 units.

Description

The red-brick building has a canopied entrance with a nice surround, a bandcourse above the third floor and two-story pilasters between the second and third floors with some attractive window surrounds on the second floor.  It also has window surrounds on the 13th floor and quoins on the 5th floor.

It has some protruding air-conditioners.
