This attractive, 14-story building at 212 West 91st Street on the southeast corner of Broadway was erected in 1922 and designed by Gronenberg & Leuchtag, whose other buildings in Manhattan include 55, 91, 101 and 336 Central Park West, 90 Riverside Drive and 885 and 1185 Park Avenue. 

The building, which is known as The Greystone, has 363 rental apartments.

 

Bottom Line

A pleasant pre-war rental building with many small apartments and an sidestreet entrance marquee with a revolving door.

Description

The beige-brick building has an entrance marquee, a one-story stone base, a handsome bandcourse broken up by many discrete air-conditioners, arched window surrounds on the fourth floor, a broad decorative balcony on the 8th floor, and a dentilated bandcourse of the 13-floor, and a small cornice. 

It has a revolving door entrance and no sidewalk landscaping.

The building has a landscaped roof deck, a 24/7 doorman, a live-in superintendent, a bicycle room, a package room, a fitness center, dog walking services, a 24-hour laundry room, an Art Deco-style lounge with pool table, and a garden.  The building is pet-friendly and smoke-free.
