Built in 1907, 129 Columbia Heights is a six-story Beaux Arts cooperative building situated on the northeast corner of Clark Street in Brooklyn Heights. The pre-war building contains 37 apartments and stands one block east of the Brooklyn Heights Promenade.
The beige-brick structure features distinctive architectural elements including a rusticated one-story base with a two-step entrance stoop and colonnaded surround. Three broad decorative bandcourses accent the façade, with escutcheons featuring green and orange colored centers. The building is crowned by a prominent cornice and includes two fire escapes on its Columbia Heights elevation.
Apartments in the building are characterized by generous proportions and pre-war details, including beamed ceilings, inlaid floors, and picture moldings. Many units feature long entrance galleries - some extending up to 37 feet - and spacious living areas. Floor plans range from two to five bedrooms, with several apartments featuring both formal living and dining rooms.
The building offers residents a live-in superintendent, bicycle storage, private storage facilities (available for a fee), and a laundry room. Its location provides access to Brooklyn Bridge Park's 85 acres of waterfront recreation space, while the surrounding Brooklyn Heights neighborhood is known for its historic architecture and tree-lined streets. Dogs are not permitted in the building.

For some co-ops, instead of price per square foot, we use an estimate of the number of rooms for each sold apartment to chart price changes over time. This is because many co-op listings do not include square footage information, and this makes it challenging to calculate accurate square-foot averages.
By displaying the price per estimated room count, we are able to provide a more reliable and consistent metric for comparing sales in the building. While we hope that this gives you a clearer sense of price trends in the building, all data should be independently verified. All data provided are only estimates and should not be used to make any purchase or sale decision.
