Chelsea Paradigm Review

The Chelsea Paradigm is a handsome, 13-story, mid-block residential condominium at 146-148 West 22nd Street between Sixth and Seventh Avenues.

It was developed by Alchemy Properties in 2004 and was designed by Marvin H. Meltzer.

It has 12 apartments.

Bottom Line

Chelsea Paradigm is a small and modern boutique residential condominium with floor-through units in the heart of Chelsea.

Description

The first three floors of the building are built “full” to the streetline and then are setback at the sides and are also setback at the 8th floor, where the upper floors have balconies.

Each unit has a balcony, many of which are at the building’s rear.

The building has an entrance marquee, a slate lobby and no sidewalk landscaping.

Amenities

The building has a roof deck, keyed elevator access, no sidewalk landscaping, no doorman and no concierge.

Apartments

Apartments have Sub-Zero refrigerators, Viking gas ranges, Sub-Zero wine coolers and Bosch dishwashers and washers and dryers. Bathrooms have steam showers, over-sized bathtubs and Poggenpohl cabinetry, and kitchens feature granite counters.

A typical apartment is a three-bedroom unit with an 11-foot-wide entry foyer that leads to a 35-foot-long living room with a pass-through kitchen. Two of the rear bedrooms have small balconies.
