16-20 Convent Avenue is a ten-story mixed-use, mixed-income building in Harlem set to contain an on-site childcare facility and 84 apartments, a portion of which will be permanently affordable. Renderings show a light brick building with oversized, metal-framed windows and private balconies in select units.
The building will be topped with a roof terrace, and amenities will include a fitness center, a lounge, and bike storage. It is located in close proximity to Columbia University's Manhattanville campus, Morningside Park, St. Nicholas Park, the Apollo Theatre, dining and retail on West 125th Street, and the 125th Street 1 and A/B/C/D trains.
16-20 Convent Avenue is one of the first projects to capitalize on both City of Yes for Housing Opportunity and 485-x, the affordable housing tax break that replaced 421-a. Completion is estimated for 2028.

In early May 2025, renderings and plans were revealed for a new residential building to rise on a vacant lot at 16-20 Convent Avenue in Harlem. Haussmann Development plans to construct a 10-story building with 75 units, twenty percent of which will be set aside as affordable. It is one of the first projects to capitalize on City of Yes for Housing Opportunity and 485-x, the affordable housing tax break that replaced 421-a.
Amenities will include a fitness center, a lounge, a children's playroom, bike storage, and a rooftop terrace. The groundbreaking will take place later this year, and completion is estimated for 2027.
