Carter's Review

This attractive and neat, 7-story mid-block apartment building known as Blanca at 206 East 73rd Street between Second and Third avenues has two triplex maisonette units, two duplex penthouse units and six two-bedroom units.

It was designed by Michael Gadaleta of MG New York Architects for Cayre-Synergy 73rd, LLC, a joint venture of Midtown Equities and Synergy in 2006.

Bottom Line

The handsome building has a central Upper East Side location convenient to many restaurants and public transportation.

Description

The building has a dramatic stainless-steel-and-glass entrance marquee, stainless-steel balconies with glass railings in front of a pale-blue recessed central section, a cast stone façade, punched windows and a setback above the 5th floor.

Amenities

The building has a private-key elevator and a video intercom system.

It has no doorman, no concierge and no garage.

Apartments

The maisonettes have four bedrooms, three baths and two powder rooms with about 3,300 square feet of space. They also feature fireplaces and French doors that lead to an outdoor patio and garden area.

The penthouses have three bedrooms and more than 4,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor space with a two-story-high living room with a 20-foot ceiling and a fireplace and a private roof deck.

Each apartment has an open SieMatic kitchen with a center island, matte white lacquer cabinetry and Miele, Wolf and Sub Zero appliances.

Master bathrooms have marble floors, a marble-surround soaking tub, a shower with marble slab seating and double-sink vanities.
