The project received a silver energy conservation rating from the National Association of Home Builders Research Center; Tony Musso served as architect and environmental adviser, Rudolph Shatarah as consulting engineer, and 5-43 Ventures as developer.
The red brick façade has paired balconies above the first floor and a setback above the sixth, while the construction incorporates recycled steel and concrete, thermopane windows and thick sheetrock. A 7,000 square foot roof deck spans two levels, with landscaping and a projection screen for outdoor films. The building also has an attended lobby, video intercom, fitness center, children's playroom, lounge, event room, resident storage and an indoor garage.
Many apartments have split bedroom plans, oversized windows, private balconies, in-unit laundry and open views toward Manhattan or the Queensboro Bridge. Residence 1A is a townhouse style triplex organized around a double-height living space, with a private backyard at grade and a private roof above.
