Vantage at Purves is a 14 story, 64 unit condominium on Purves Street in Long Island City, completed in 2006. Designed by Gene Kaufman, the building has a silver metal panel façade above a two story blue base, with blue window bays and a matching cornice. Vantage Partners, a joint venture of the Emmy Building Company and The Lions Group, developed the project.
Many apartments combine oversized windows, open living areas and kitchens, and private balconies or terraces. In-unit laundry is standard, while several 525 square foot studios pair a balcony with a separate windowed home office or sleeping alcove. The C line penthouse opens to a 450 square foot terrace.
The building has a full time doorman and live-in superintendent, along with a roof deck, fitness center with sauna, media lounge, children's playroom, bike room and resident storage. There is also an on-site parking garage, and pets are allowed.
SculptureCenter is next door, and MoMA PS1 is also in the surrounding Court Square area. The Court Square station complex, two blocks away, serves the 7, E, G and M trains.
