415 Greenwich Street is being converted
By Carter Horsley   |   From Archives Monday, July 18, 2005
One of the larger residential conversions underway in TriBeCa is TriBeCa Summit, the very handsome, 8-story building at 415 Greenwich Street between Hubert and Laight Streets.

The building is notable for its very fine and large cornice. It is catty-corner to the large and impressive office complex at 388 Greenwich Street and it is directly across from a low-rise garage.

The building was designed by Victor A. Bark and completed in 1913 as a neo-Renaissance style warehouse.

The plans for the building were recently approved by the city's Landmarks Preservation Commission as the building is within the TriBeCa North Historic District. The plans include a rooftop addition.

The building was sold by the Globix Corporation in

January, 2004 to 415 Greenwich Fee Owner, LLC, a successor in interest to Heritage Partners, for $60 million in cash.
