A 9-story residential condominium building with seven apartments is planned by Peter Moore at 240 West Broadway.

The building will be distinguished by the fact that its base and setback tower will have different facades. The building's fenestration is asymmetrical and highlighted by slit windows, some of which will protrude slightly.

FLAnk Architects has designed the building, which received a variance from the Board of Standards and Appeals last year.

The Department of Buildings issued a permit for the project, which is on the northwest corner at North Moore Street, June 6.

In recent years, Mr. Moore has been one of the most active developers and converters in the TriBeCa neighborhood.

He has worked before with FLAnk Architects. Their other projects include a corten-clad, 8-story hotel-condo at 250 Bowery between Houston and Prince Streets, and 520 West 27th Street.

Other projects by FLAnk include the 385 West 12th Street, 441 West 57th Street, the Novare at 135 West 4th Street and 150 West 15th Street.
