It was another good week for Billionaires' Row condos. The highest-priced sale took place at Aman New York Residences, where #16A closed for $24,342,000. According to the offering plan, this unit has three bedrooms, three full baths, a powder room, a den/bonus room, and 4,468 interior square feet. The buyer conducted the transaction through an LLC, as did the purchaser of the other top-ranking Billionaires' Row unit: #80W at Central Park Tower, which sold for $12,697,452.
The Upper East Side also put on impressive showings with new construction condos. The week's second-highest sale took place at 150 East 78th Street, where a five-bedroom duplex penthouse unit with 3,816 interior square feet and a 277-square-foot private terrace sold for $16,000,000. A few blocks away at 109 East 79th Street, #15E closed for $11,486,688. The offering plan indicates that this unit has three bedrooms, three and a half baths, and 2,741 interior square feet.
The Upper East Side was also home to the week's top co-op sale at 875 Park Avenue, a prewar building designed by George and Edward Blum. Residence #8AB, a sizeable five-bedroom home, sold for $11,500,000. Public records identify the seller as George Rohr, co-founder and president of private equity firm NCH Capital, and his wife Pamela.
