In July 2025, a source told The Real Deal that the Qatar Investment Authority is moving forward with plans to redevelop Central Park South's Park Lane Hotel into a five-star hotel with hotel condos and residential units. Technical consultants and architects are evaluating various options, and the announcement comes about two years after the sovereign wealth fund bought the hotel from Witkoff Group for approximately $623 million.
